My nephew Josh married his sweetheart Greta today in Minnesota.

Last night, I called my brother Joel and was able to talk to Josh and his fiancé Greta, to wish them many blessings before their wedding today.
Tonight while watching the closing ceremonies of the Olympics, Joel texted me. We were able to Facetime, along with my brother Jeff and his wife Carole from Phoenix, to watch the wedding. I was so glad to be able to “be there” virtually.
The one piece of personal news is that my English student, Dima has decided to reduce our hours during together from 12 hours per week, to four. I’m disappointed. I love working with him. And I’m not sure he’s making the right decision, based on his goals. But I’ll respect it and support him.
Otherwise, there has not been much news this week.
It’s been hot and humid.
Valencia gets really quiet in August. The Spanish custom is that most people take the month off for vacation. That means most small stores and restaurants are closed for much (if not all) of the month. Walking around town is remarkably quiet.
Today, I met my friend Rafael for dinner. We walked through the City of Arts and Sciences. The Hemispheric was open. It was my first time inside this cool building.

Wherever you are, stay cool! 😎
