It’s been an unusually quiet couple of weeks.

School is good. I have a new teacher. The school changes teachers every few months so that we get exposed to different accents and styles. I can truly say that each teacher has brought unique value and perspective. And the other students are pretty cool too.

I went to a film documentary this week about the history of LGBTQ rights in Valencia…from the Franco era to more recent times. It was inspiring seeing the courage and bravery of those early activists.

As I walked home, the Harvest Moon was beautiful!

As the temperatures are dropping my chance to get to the beach is becoming less frequent. Warm days this time of year include highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Saturday was one such day and I was treated to a dolphin show.

If you’re following my social media, you know that I have reversed my long standing silence on political posts. I feel so powerless to see what’s happening in this election. Social media gives me a chance to share what I think needs to be said. If you can vote in the US, you can literally help save democracy in the United States. Please vote.

The good news for Trump supporters is that he’s telling his supporters to vote on January 5. So you have lots of time. And don’t forget, he told his supporters that if you vote for him in this election, “you’ll never have to vote again.”

Even if you believe in his leadership, he’s made it clear he doesn’t support the American democratic process. A vote for Trump is literally a vote to empower the person who tried to overthrow the last election and refuses to accept the results of the American voters.

Finally, I’m coming home for a couple weeks this week. I arrive Wednesday in Denver, leave Thursday-Monday for Boise. Then I’m in Denver October 28 until Friday, November 1, when I drive to Kansas to see my family there for the weekend. I’ll be back in Denver from November 4-7. It’s a whirlwind schedule. But I have some time for breakfast, coffee, happy hour, dinner, whatever. It would be great to see you. Let me know via email or What’s App if you want to get together.
