For those who missed it, I’m actually in Denver right now. So I’m doing great.

Here’s what I have heard.

After getting more rain in 24 hours than they might get in some years, the floods were devastating.

Valencia city is doing much better than the surrounding towns and villages.

My friend Martin checked on my apartment and said everything is fine.

I know that schools and many businesses are closed until next week. Trains are not yet running to or from Valencia and either Madrid or Barcelona. Buses are on a limited schedule. Shelves are empty in all the grocery stores.

The losses are staggering. I heard from one friend whose family lost a lot (though he didn’t want to elaborate).
