Just because…

On Friday, we celebrated the last day of class for my friend Adam (26). He wants to devote his time to finding a real job. He has a Masters in Economics. I hope he can stay here in Valencia. So, the class went to lunch with him on Friday.

At Adam’s request, we went for hamburgers, fries and milk shakes. I ate way too much.

Then we went for Horchata and Fartons (more food !)…which none of them had ever had!

It was a fun mix of cultures.

On Saturday, Vicente and I went to the beach. When we got there, there was a yacht stranded on the beach.

A lifeguard told us it was found abandoned that morning. The authorities were unsuccessful in getting it freed get on the sand.

The weather got worse as the day went on and they eventually closed the beach because of severe hail and thunderstorms predicted. So, we don’t know what became of the boat.

I never saw any bad weather, but in another part of town, two people died from lightning strikes.

Sunday night, we went to see the Jurassic World movie. It’s a dynamic roller coaster of adventure, laughs and sweetness.
