Get out of town!

I had a fun day today in a town just over an hour north of Valencia. Dani, Ivan and their friend, Rene and I drove up to Peñiscola. It’s probably most famous for the castle and fortress built by the Knights Templar in the early 1200s.

After the castle, we enjoyed a long delicious lunch at Roca Mar, with a table right by the water. Great views. Fresh seafood. Lots of laughter. A wonderful day!

    Looks like a great getaway! So like you, Jim to make friends so quickly! I just heard about a big fire in Valencia. Were you affected?

      No. But it’s all over the news here. My Ukrainian student could see it from his apartment window.
